Sila-sila pa rin
Somehow it doesn’t feel right when we see the entire hall of the traditional politicians we abhor roused in applause when Gloria Arroyo declared that she is for changes in our system of government. If these same trapos are thrilled with the idea of change in our system of government, it makes one think and doubt the sort of change these people espouse. May magbabago nga ba kung sila-sila rin ang magiging “kinatawan” na mga tao (in a constituent assembly)? If the traditional politicians are so ecstatic about it, it must not be good.
It’s a ConstitutionAL Assembly. A Constituent Assembly would mean us normal non-mortals.
I think it’s an okay speech. Very strategic. She’s really minimizing the collateral damage of the scandal.
It’s a speech of a person intent on moving on, not stepping down.
1. Eh…sino ba dapat ang mga kinatawan?
2. Karamihan doon ay from the LGUs all over the country - Governors, Mayors etc.
3. If so and so is happy about it then it must be….whatever. Judging or concluding somethin without really knowing what it is…is what?
4. Merits and de-merits or pros and cons needs to be investigated, weighed, presented…parallel expereinces, realities ng bansa, our strengths and weaknesses as a people and country…ay dapat tingnan…only then we can really judged ( at least sa sarili natin) wheter OK ba ang chacha o hindi. Till then isip isip muna tayo.
5. Pero kong sinara muna utak mo agaist chacha..OK lang din. heheheh. Peace!
