Boracay Day 1
Hello there! I am here in Boracay right now at some cozy net cafe. See! I do this just to update. I better make this quick because it costs 70 pesos an hour here.
Boracay is spectacular! It has a wide, wide stretch of white sand beach. And there seems to be a lot to do here, even if I am mostly going to be by myself for five days.
We arrived at Kalibo Airport at about 1:30 in the afternoon then someone picked us up and we drove off about 70 kilometers northwest to Caticlan. From there, we rode a motorized banca to Boracay Island on rough waters. Probably because the recent storm, Chedeng has barely left the country. The boat docked at Tambisaan, in the eastern part of the island so we needed to take a tricycle to the western side, where the world-famous 4 kilometer long stretch of white sand beach is, to our resort.
The resort is not really a beachfront resort so it is still a couple of minutes worth of walking before you get to the beach.

We rested a bit at our room in the resort then I went off to the beach by myself. Simply spectacular. Even if the weather was not really that good and even though it was really, really windy. I walked and walked for about an hour till I had to go back to the resort. I got lost! I tried going through different alleys and met dead-ends. I kept walking for about half an hour more till I got to the island’s circumferencial road so I just traced my way back to our resort. Hah! But it was fun… getting lost.
Anyway, I will be here till Wednesday and most of the time, I will be alone so I am going to check the tourist office out to see what kinds of activities I can do here till then. My younger brother only plans to stay at our resort room and play PS2, so I do not have to look after him.
I do not really want to go explore the night life here now since I am alone. Maybe next time. I think I will just enjoy myself here for now.
Okay, bye!
