Boracay Day 2
The weather is horrible tonight. It’s raining and the winds are really strong. I’m quite a walking distance from our resort and I was kind of scared because the winds I had to oppose were typhoon-like winds. Ah, anyway, I’m at the same net cafe now.
The weather wasn’t really that good today. We woke up and it was raining. I was planning to go walk the whole 4 kilometers of White Beach in the morning but I had to stay in our room the whole morning because it was raining. But fortunately, right before lunch time, the rain stopped so my mom, my brother and I walked to the beach.
To my dismay, the sea has crept inland and there was barely 2 meters of dry sand along the coast. Plus, the sky looked like it was going to shower us again soon and the waves reached heights of more than 5 feet. Nevertheless, I still went swimming so I left my sandals on the 2-meter wide beach. Swimming this morning was like being agitated in a washing machine with all those strong waves. Anyway, by the time I went back to the 2-meter wide beach, my sandals were gone. A strong wave probably swallowed it into the ocean. Great.
Anyway, I didn’t walk barefoot. My mom just bought me a pair of cheap beach slippers at one of the nearby stores. After lunch, it started raining again so I just napped in the resort room for about two hours.
At about three in the afternoon, the sun finally showed up so I immediately hurried off to the beach and started my walking. The tide has receded so the beach was really wide again. I walked for about two hours along the stretch of white sand beach from the south end to the north part. It was fun. Just walking. I even went past the limestone cliffs to some other secluded beach to the north. Haha. Anyway, there weren’t that many people in the beach as I expected. probably because summer was at its end already (obviously!). Hey, I remember seeing the actress who played Sally in “Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan”. They were taping some show and she was lying on the beach. Hm, what else? Uhh, just watched people frolick in the sand and riding the waves.
That was basically my day today. I hope I can do something else tomorrow. Hopefully, I can convince my mom to let me scuba dive for the first time.
