Let’s wait for her other cabinet members
So, Former DTI Sec. Mar Roxas is running for senator, as announced. See? All the long while his “Mr. Palengke” commercial aired was a very obvious indication of his plans. How else can a consumer welfare month last from the beginning of October to the end of November (that’s two months). The central idea of the public service message was not even on the bogus consumer welfare month and was instead on how pogi Secretary Roxas is. He said he opted to resign to prevent any accusations of campaigning using public funds. Goodness, he did just that the whole two months this public service message aired!
Sec. Manuel Roxas III graduated from the Ateneo de Manila High School. Just like a lot of our current politicians and government officials. (My article in the second issue of Hilites Magazine is about Atenean politicians, read it).
On another note, Sec. Joey Lina has announced that he won’t be running for senator anymore as previously planned. Aw, too bad. All those public service messages promoting his crime-busting actions have gone to waste. Poor taxpayers.
The role I want to play
I want to play the role of the freeloader next time. You know how annoying it is for me when some classmates of mine feel and act so relaxed every single time they get grouped with me? It’s been like this since the beginning of time (kidding)! Now that I’ve grown apathetic and tired towards the plight for class unity, I can’t tolerate this as I’ve always done before.
Carrots, more carrots
My parents are soon going to turn into rabbits with their carrot juice diet. Hehe. Carrots don’t smell bad, but for me their scent is nauseating. I don’t know why.

Filipinos and sports
Where the hell is the Southeast Asian Games coverage here in the Philippines? We’ve already won two golds (earning us an early second-place spot in the medal tally by the end of December 5, 2003) and I didn’t see any news coverage on TV (or maybe I wasn’t watching well?). I didn’t even get to watch the opening ceremonies!
On another note, the preliminary matches for World Cup 2006 in Germany has been drawn. Of course, the Philippines isn’t participating. Duh.

Karen Davila
Karen Davila, one of the hosts of The Correspondents, gave a talk for Hilites this afternoon in school. Note that The Correspondents is one of my favortie television programs and it has always been my dream to be a correspondent, or a prober (as to Probe Team). Karen Davila also wrote the story on my favorite Correspondent episode, the one on the exodus of thousands of Filipino teachers from the Philippines.
Yes, I was in the front row listening eagerly to what she had to say. She showed us her story on ADHD and on Nicolai Magtibay.
Class Outing 2: The worst part of the trip
The bus ride home was the worst part of the class outing. People started bickering against each other, and the stressed DMZ lines among the different cliques in class were restressed. Oh well, I don’t care anymore.
Along the way, we had numerous stop-overs. The one at Hacienda Luisita, I spent taking photo-ops with some classmates at the old displayed sugarmill train. We got back to school at 10 in the evening.
