Someone who feels exactly how I feel about Holy Week this past few years. When I was a young girl during the late 70's, at the onset of Holy Monday, everything starts to slow down and towards Maundy Thursday, everything is silent already. Nothing at all on TV (there was no cable pa then), nothing on the radio, not a restaurant open, not even a whisper in the streets. Only the churches were open. Times have changed so much. My family and I visited 7 churches last Maundy Thrusday: Baclaran, Manila Cathedral, San Agustin, Malate Cathedral, Sta Cruz and Quiapo church. Everywhere you looked, people were EATING inside fastfood outlets like Shakey's and Chowking. Parang hindi Holy Week...Grabe. By the way, I like your site. Found myself in it via Dinsworld.
