School’s been all right. Nothing exceptional has happened. My general electives are okay too but relatively boring… so far. Especially Biology 1 and Engineering Science 10. Sa Bio 1, wala akong maintindihan sa sinasabi ng prof–ATP, electron transfer, Krebs cycle… sus, kebs. It’s not really the subject matter. I wasn’t this uninterested when we were discussing the exact same topics four years ago during second year high school. It’s a morning class, in an airconditioned classroom, everyone’s too quiet and the prof’s lecturing method can really lull anyone to sleep. It’s a similar situation with ES 10, but the lecturer is livelier. But still, if one doesn’t like the topic, it’s really hard to pay attention. I was never a fan of Physics.
Onto more interesting subjects. For Film 112, we’re on the pre-pre-production stage of our sci-fi short film. First film production class and out of all types of short films we can be required to make, sci-fi short pa talaga with CG effects and all. Hay, good luck to us clueless film sophomores. Sci-fi isn’t my favorite genre, but I’m looking forward to this project.
On a lighter note, we’re going to have our first practical exam in PE (social dance) next week. If I may say, the waltz is quite a patriarchal dance. Or maybe all social dances are. Not that I have a problem with that, but if that’s the case, I wish the girls in class can reduce the physical resistance while dancing. I’m all for equality, but let’s be medieval for a while. We’re the drivers / controllers and you girls are just our… vehicles? Haha, ewan.
