Sa umaga, nakinig sa lecture ng Bio 1 prof, pagkatapos ay nag-tango para sa PE. Noong tanghali ay tumambay sa MCO tambayan, ginawang pseudo-artista si Marella para sa Film 112 homework ko, pagkatapos ay pumasok sa Film 102 class. Noong hapon ay tumambay sa CAST tambayan at kumain ng isaw baboy at bulaklak sa may Ilang. Noong gabi ay pumunta kina Brent kasama ng ibang ka-org sa UP CAST para sa isang inuman dahil birthday ni Pie.

I was saddned by former Senator Raul Roco’s death. I really wanted him to win as President last year. It’s just so sad that the last elections didn’t see integrity and credibility as the main basis for a lot of people’s choices.

I woke up at 12 AM yesterday so I could cram review for our Comm 100 midterms. I hadn’t done that since high school–waking up at midnight to study with very little distractions. Haha. Wala dapat distractions no? Nooo, during my self-imposed break, I switched on the TV at bigla akong napadpad sa Fashion TV, at kasalukuyan noong may pinapalabas na isang show na may pamagat na “Midnight Hot”. Wow! Oh God, hot kung hot. Haha. What a distraction. Ngayon ko lang nadiskubre na may free striptease show pala sa cable TV tuwing madaling araw. Malay ko ba kung bakit hindi ito pinapakialaman ng MTRCB or anumang censoring board. I eventually got back to reviewing. After an hour though, naisipan ko na namang buksan ang TV at napadpad naman ako sa HBO at pinapalabas noon ang Dawn of the Dead na ‘di ko na namang naiwasang panoorin hanggang sa dulo. So much for “little distractions”.

Naalala ko na naman tuloy ang Comm 100 midterms namin. Ayoko na… nakaka-depress.

Anyway, yesterday afternoon, we had our first general assembly with (some of) our new members in UP CAST. I’m happy. The new members look so enthusiastic with what we’re planning to do. Nabubuhayan ako ng loob. Ang saya!

We had a sort of a photo shoot this morning for UP MCO’s 12th anniversary exhibit a few weeks from now. (Delayed na nga actually. Last month pa ‘yung actual anniversary.)

Kulang pa nga ng tatlo. Wala si #’s 7, 10 at 11. To follow na lang siguro. Team ko nga pala nag-aasikaso ng exhibit. I hope it turns out okay in the end. (Yes, I’m #9).

Academics
Pasang-awa ako sa first ES 10 exam ko. Hindi pa rin binabalik ang Bio 1 exam namin, but I’m sure bagsak ako doon. I haven’t been reading the required readings for my other subjects. I feel like I’m neglecting my studies, kaya ngayon magsisipag na ulit ako.

CAST FR/Induction
Final rites at induction ng new members ng CAST noong Sabado sa may Lagro (na naman).

I think some of the applicants didn’t expect what came their way during the final rites. [I'm generally not in favor of some things we do during final rites. I've been through two myself and I always felt like the objectives 'final rites' aim to achieve can be attained through other ways.] Kaya tuwing FR, tahimik lang ako. Yes, I’m intentionally being vague here. For now, I’m just going to surrender to this ‘tradition’ and hold back my objections.

MCO GA/meeting
Mahirap talagang mag-GA (general assembly) tuwing wala pang tambayan ang org. It’s difficult to plan things out
‘pag walang isang lugar kung saan maaaring magkita-kita at magtipun-tipon ang mga members regularly. Pero ayos lang na sa skywalk na lang palagi sa ngayon.
