NEIL: my family’s actually from amadeo, cavite and my grandfather (used to) tend to a farm with coffee, pineapples and papayas.

when i was little, i planted a pineapple plant in a big empty can of anchor milk. I was grade two (1995 or 1996, i forgot when) then, it took a very long time before it produced its first and last fruit when i was already in 1st year college (2004).

BTW, we have several pineapple farms in our vac house in Aklan, too. I used to steal some when I go there during summer vacation. Ha, thanks to my mom ^_^ She taught me the techniques of using its ‘crown’.
