Birthday ni Tisay

Tisay turned a year old last week. We celebrated her birthday twice. The first time was at Bulacan with a few relatives and neighbors there last Thursday. The second one was at Cavite with our relatives there yesterday.

Tisay has been with us for more than five months already. We’ve all fallen in love with the baby. The biological parents have apparently given up their rights to Tisay. Sana talaga napupunan namin bilang foster family ang mga pagkukulang ng mga tunay niyang magulang. Unfortunately no matter how much we would like her to be a real part of our family, my parents are already past the age limit for legal adoption. And for obvious reasons, my brother and I can’t adopt her ourselves. So, no matter how much we take care of her and love her, one day, some couple will come and adopt her and she will leave us. I wish that whoever that very lucky couple may be, they will love her as much much more than we do. This baby deserves it all.
One day, you may get to read this. We love you, Tisay. Happy first birthday!
wahhhh same problem
tayo bikoy…di pa rin
ako umaabot sa age requirement
para sa legal adoption….
on second thoughts, are foster
parents restricted to show the
identity of their ‘little angels’?
hmmm hope mabait ang mag-claim
sa kanya…

[...] While waiting for our documentary to render and to be burned into a DVD, Eka was playing with Tisay and it was sort of amusing because the baby was unusually cheerful, when she normally isn’t if she’s around strangers. Eka eventually took photos of me with Tisay. [...]
[...] We held a birthday party last September 30 for Tisay’s second birthday. It was a buffet lunch in our place in Sta. Maria, Bulacan for our relatives and my parents’ friends and neighbors. During her first birthday, we held two gatherings. One in Bulacan and a KFC kiddie party in our relatives’ place in Amadeo, Cavite. You may see pictures from her first birthday here. [...]
