Hindi ka nag-iisa
There are just a few campaign days left, and I’m honestly looking forward to election day, as we can all stop this exhausting endeavor of convincing people to vote for you and your party against a full slate opposition.
Last Monday, as the two aspirants for chairperson in Mass Comm, Karol and I were interviewed together over DZUP. He was as jolly as he usually is. It’s laughable how some people seriously pit us against each other. We never had bad moments with each other even as members of the incumbent student council, even when we were debating on our positions regarding the tuition increase proposal a few months ago. All’s well (or so I’d like to believe).
Anyway, as the program progressed, one of the main differences between Karol and I are exposed. As expected, Karol and his party, ISA, finally admits that they are for tuition fee increase, while we in STAND-UP are, from the beginning, against its approval. To people who’ve been asking what’s the different between the two parties, perhaps that can serve as a factor on how they will decide next Tuesday. Are we not afraid of losing votes because of our position? Honestly, no. This is our stand, and we are being honest and unpretentious about it. We lay out all our cards in campaign, and if a fellow Mass Comm student firmly believes otherwise, then due respect is given. We will not compromise these positions during election campaign to simply garner votes.

These, by the way, are pictures from last Friday’s anti-TOFI parade by STAND-UP.

You are so gonna win!
Napanood ko yung the Correspondents kaninang madaling araw bago pumasok. (May reruns yun pag 4 na.
GO MARIEL!
uhm.. bakit “di ka Nagiisa” yung Title nito?
LOL. If STAND-UP still wins, then students in UP are really getting stupid everyday in choosing their leaders. Your platforms are, as quoted by Direk Tony Mabesa, “BS to the nth level.”.
I really think STAND-UP should win. It’s the only party that has a sustained campaign against anti-student measures. To date, it remains the only alternative to the apathetic and elitist politics of other parties.
I don’t agree to the claim that STAND-UP’s “platforms (sic) are… ‘BS to the nth level’.” In fact, theirs is the only set of platform that recognizes the importance of student participation. STAND-UP’s set of platform recognizes the collective action of students as indispensable.
LOL. Yes, student participation to every issue in this country to the point you’re wasting taxpayer’s money by getting DELAYED and DELINQUENT, not to mention the traffic you’re causing. And who dictates what-is, and what-is-not anti-student? Add to that, you’re 10,000 signatures versus TOFI campaign is utterly useless and full of flaws. Gusto mo bigyan pa kita ng 100,000 signatures versus STAND-UP eh.
Iboto ang Stand-UP!
Hehe.
Pero seriously, kung anuman ‘yung intervention na pinakikita ng Stand-UP regarding sa issues ng mga janitors, for example, it just shows na hindi ina-isolate ng Stand-UP ang kanilang issue sa issues ng ibang sector.
Tunay, Palaban, Makabayan, Stand-UP (Asap-Katipunan)!
So kung siya ang mananalo, d expect the same KAROL he is…
MANANALO KA DAHIL MAHAL KITA.
ANG GWAPO MO TALAGA!!!
Ikaw mananalo
GWAPO
CUTE
OMG, nababoy si Oble!!! How can you bastardise the symbol of our academic freedom!?! Is that even allowed (placing the freaking banner).
BTW, LOL, you have my signature in the anti-Stand-UP chorva. Although signature campaigns are just stupid in general.
Di ba di daw makakagraduate yung magpapapic sa oble.
“OMG, nababoy si Oble!!! How can you bastardise the symbol of our academic freedom!?! Is that even allowed (placing the freaking banner).”
Ngi.
