Even More USC ‘08 Deliberations
Still, three days of University Student Council (USC) meetings weren’t enough to resolve the establishments and the leaderships of all the USC’s committees. Another special session was held last Friday, April 11, 2008, to tackle the remaining committees.
The session started promptly at around six in the evening and ended just before midnight. Four committees’ leaderships decided: CSWCD Rep. Carmela Lagang was chosen to head the Community Rights & Welfare Committee; CL Rep. Sophia San Luis was chosen to chair the Students Legal Aid & Action Committee; CEduc Rep. Acee Abulencia was chosen to lead the Gender Committee; and AIT Rep. Chorva David was chosen to head the Academic Concerns Committee.
There is still a handful of committees left to deliberate in the next few days. There was actually another meeting the next day, Saturday, but I wasn’t able to attend that one because of a family affair. The meeting saw another committee establishment and leadership resolved. CHE Rep. Rinno Camilit was elected chair of the Environment Committee.

meron po bang site ang USC para naman makita namin yung updates sa USC tsaka kung may project man sila?
hope you post what all the committees are. AFAIK, there IS a USC website, I just can’t remember what. Hopefully with Bikoy onboard, it’ll get more publicity and get updated often (or if there’s none yet, hopefully it gets concocted ASAP).
congratulations to STAND UP for being elected on a huge number of committees headships! here’s to hoping you all serve the people.
I think the website you are referring to is theoblation.com, which, strangely, does not accept any new registrations. Also, it was last updated on 14 March 2008. USC, please do make this website a REAL venue (meaning, informative of what you are doing and is updated regularly) for us students to know you and the council’s projects. Thank you.
