May 14, 2008. I forgot to write about this one. Better late than never. A few weeks ago, the University Student Council (USC) held a candlelight memorial to commemorate all victims of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The activity was spearheaded by the USC’s Gender Committee.

Click here for an article prepared by the Gender Committee with regards to the proper implementation of Republic Act 8504, or the law that seeks to create “a compassionate and enabling environment by instituting nationwide HIV/AIDS Information and Educational Programs that shall be carried out in all schools and training centers, workplaces and communities.”
