It pains me when friends and colleagues take it against me when I am unable to spend time with them or do some tasks because I need to spend time to study.
Perhaps only fellow law students really understand. Nagsasawa na akong magpaliwanag. I’m just starting to sound like I’m making excuses all the time.
All of you want me to become a lawyer but you make me feel bad for trying to get it done. I don’t think many of you understand how terribly demanding law school is. I’m tempted to take a picture of my piles of readings, worth thousands of pages, all of which I had to read and will have to re-read through for the final examinations, just to show you how seriously I mean it when I say I need all the time I can to study. I wouldn’t wish such an ordeal on any of you.
I’m trying my best to juggle and handle everything. ‘Pag kaya ko naman ginagawa ko, ‘pag may oras ako nagpapakita naman ako. But this I’ll admit, I’m really just so compelled to give much more time to studying. If I don’t spend as much time or more, I’m really, really going to fail some of my subjects. And if I fail I will never become the lawyer you want me to be, something I really want for myself, too.

I’m kinda guilty of pestering you … I (we) should be more understanding given that you can only do so much. Yun din naman ang sinabi ng lahat sa akin, to understand your situation (courtesy of Kuya Jules) because Law school entails you to sacrifice a lot–not only your precious time. geesh… sorry ah… ako pa ang hindi nakakaintindi… :/ i believe in you bikoy (except the fact na nag-didiet ka ganyan) you can be that BEST lawyer I, you and we want you to be…

“Kapag gusto maraming paraan, kapag ayaw maraming dahilan”. It just goes to show, you want to study and finish law school right now more than anything else.
Kung hindi ka nila naiintindihan, hindi mo talaga sila friends, haha! But then again, baka naman ‘mababaw na tampo’ lang yun, and that they’re not really ‘taking it against’ you. Tipong “We’re just thinking aloud but we understand.”

Priorities are different. I look back at my friends’ photos from our undergrad days and I wonder why I’m not in any of them (I was always studying or crazy busy with orgs) … but I’ve managed to keep in touch with a good number of my college friends several years post-graduation.
Enjoy the studying … you’ll miss it!

Goodluck on your studies! do what you need to do. ganyan din feeling ko last semester when I was taking full load at a University, part sa City College and working 20 hours every week. Pero yung iba kung friends naintindihan naman nila kasi normal naman yan dito sa US.
